ASR Health Benefits is a third-party administrator of health plans, including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, Section 125, and consumer-directed health plans. We administer these health plans through dedicated client service teams, consisting of staff members from each department at ASR who work together to meet our clients’ needs.
ASR is currently seeking a Stop-Loss and Sales Coordinator to join our Sales Department. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Job Description:
The Stop-Loss and Sales Coordinator will be an essential part of the Sales team, helping streamline processes and ensure that incoming opportunities are managed effectively. This position is responsible for screening and coordinating prospective opportunities, maintaining departmental records, assisting in proposal solicitation, and managing the flow of new business proposals. The ideal candidate will also support the Sales team by maintaining sales materials, preparing presentations, scheduling meetings, and reporting on proposal activities.
This role is vital in cultivating relationships with agent partners while ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of ASR's sales and underwriting efforts. The Stop-Loss and Sales Coordinator will be relied upon to anticipate the needs of both the internal team and external partners, contributing to the overall performance of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and coordinate incoming prospective opportunities, ensuring quality and thoroughness of information received.
- Maintain department records and tracking tools for all incoming requests for proposals.
- Communicate with brokers regarding request for proposals (RFPs).
- Assist in the solicitation of stop loss proposals.
- Manage and maintain a database of agent assignments.
- Inventory and manage sales materials.
- Prepare and assist in the creation of sales presentation materials.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings for Sales staff.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on proposal activity.
- Cultivate relationships with external agent partners.
- Assist in other department projects and tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related industry or administrative assistant role.
- Previous experience in an insurance broker office, insurance company, or MGU is highly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent judgment skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and efficiently complete responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining the capacity to work independently.
- Must have excellent attendance and reliability.
- Ability to work in the office at least 2-3 days a week (or full remote, based on location and department needs).
- Home office must meet HIPAA guidelines and ASR requirements (for remote workers).
Additional Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Basic knowledge of self-funded benefits is a plus.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment:
This position is designed to be hybrid, with the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week, and will require 2-3 days in the office based on department needs. For remote workers, home office setup must meet HIPAA and ASR requirements.
